I am planning to move from fort lauderdale fl. to houston tx.how is the cost of living in Tx. &neighbourhood?

Houston will cost less especially in property values and taxes. Dining and groceries are about the same. However, the cost of moving to Houston is living in a dull place with no character. Try to compare living near the ocean and the cultural diversity of South Florida to the personality void that is Houston (and most of Texas for that matter). I hope you like chain restaurants!
