Brad Pitt vs. Tom Welling etc.?

OK, TRUST ME, I know this question is stupid but I've been wondering: in this celeb-obsessed world, why is Brad Pitt so completely over-rated? He's not that hot. Men like Tom Welling, Ryan Phillipe, James Franco and Leonardo DiCaprio are so much better looking! Why are they not given enough attention, especially Tom Welling who is perhaps the most gorgeously discreet guy in entertainment? And I don't even have a crush on him yet it's so clear.
